Update on logistics

Participants will be housed in Williams Village North Hall. We have reserved double rooms with community restroom facilities. This dorm is located in Williams Village, a part of the university that is about 20-30 minutes (walking) from the dining hall and conference location. Breakfast, as well as some of the lunches and dinners, will be served at the Center for Community dining center (C4C). This buffet-style dining hall has many options, with allergies listed on all their dishes. Please let the organizers know about any concerns you may have.

Talks are to be 10-12 minutes, followed by 2-3 minutes of discussion. Participants are strongly encouraged to save their presentations as PDFs as well as powerpoints to ensure compatibility. We have a tight schedule, so as to fit as many talks in as possible- please make sure that your talks are not longer than 12 minutes!

Poster sessions will be interspersed with research talk sessions in the morning and afternoon of July 25 and 26. Participants will be asked to stand by theirposters during one of these sessions, and will have the other sessions to view the other posters. The poster boards available are 4’ by 5’8”.

The field trip is a great opportunity for networking with other participants, and is an integral part of AbGradCon. There are no other events that conflict with the field trip. The first part consists of a walk about 1 mile long at Dinosaur Ridge ona paved road. The second part consists of a trip to Bear Creek Lake State Park . There are a variety of activities- don’t forget your swimsuit and a towel! If participants choose not to attend, they will have to make their own lunch plans.
