About The Location

AbGradCon 2013 will be held at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. McGill is one of Canada's oldest and best-known universities, and home to several astrobiology research groups. McGill is very active in the Canadian Astrobiology Training Program (CATP) sponsored by NSERC, with participants involved in research ranging from microbiology to geology and planetary science.

The John H. Chapman Space Centre, headquarters of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), is also located near Montreal. The Chapman Centre houses satellite control rooms, simulators for the Canadarm2, and the CSA's Mission Operations Centre.
